This RPG takes place in the movies' universe, and a year after the 2007 movie. If you need a good resource, use Wikipedia.
I was curious about everyone's Turtle experience :3 Just fill this out and post it! It can be a great discussion starter :3
1. TURTLES! How do you know 'em?
I don't even remember -- my earliest memory of them was that I had a fish named Donnatello when I was three. I know I watched the old 87 cartoon and The Next Mutation when it was on, but when the 2003 cartoon came on, I thought I was too good for it. The recent movie has really rekindled my fangirlishness of it.
2. Favorite Turtles media?
I guess it's either the new movie or the comics -- I loved the early 80's TV show when I was young, TNM was okey when I was at that age, but the older movies are a little painful to watch (even though I do watch them still with my friends) and the 2003 is a little, um, well... it's 4Kids. I don't like 4Kids, but I guess it's not horrible. Unfortunately for me, I only recently got into the comics <.< >.>
3. Favorite Turtles toy?
Um. I remember playing the the Turtle van or whatever it was when I was little :3 That was pretty awesome, but I don't have any of my old toys. Does my dead Donnatello betta fish count? Because I loved him.
4. Favorite Turtles character?
Aaah, I like all four boys, of course, and Master Splinter. April's okay, and Casey's fun. At first, I was a huge Donny fan but lately, my favorite has been Raph.
5. Favorite Turtles moment?
Aaah, do I have to pick? I really loved when Mikey wanted to get rid of the Cowabunga Carl head <3
6. Favorite Turtles website?
I don't think I have on other than this. Technodrome's pretty cool, as is TMNT-L.com.
7. How did you find A World Apart?
I made it :3
8. Did you see the new movie? How many times in the theater?
Yes, and I believe 8 times total.
9. Weirdest Turtle Fan Moment?
Went to Laser Quest with our friends *coughaprilmunandraphmunandhuleeyahmun* and used the Turtle's names for our code names. I was Donny. And we had a Shredder -- my ex XD

1. TURTLES! How do you know 'em? Watched the cartoon as a kid. I had 4 turtles named after each of the turtles. And I was Leonardo for halloween. When my friend and I found out that TMNT was coming back in 2003, we got all hyped up and prepared ourselves for it and watchedt he debut...and cried. I loved the movies as a kid. Oh yeah, costumes for the win.
2. Favorite Turtles media? All of it. Too many memories to leave anyone behind. Except maybe themodern cartoon though it could have gotten better. I just have yet to see a second episode.
3. Favorite Turtles toy? I had the 4 turtles and Splinter as the action figures that could change between their mutant and normal selves. Still ahve them, but haven't used them in ages of course. UNTIL, this weekend when my nephew came over and I took glee in using those old action figures again, lol
4. Favorite Turtles character? Too easy. Mikey! He's the man. Too funny, he reminds me alot of myself. A major goofball but he comes through when it actually counts. Also, Splinter is great. Especailly in the old movies. >.<
5. Favorite Turtles moment? As if this is possible. But I have to admit, that episode with the people in the flying car. Oh yeah.
6. Favorite Turtles website?. This is my first one. Never really visited other forums, nor discussed anything about it.
7. How did you find A World Apart? Xia tricked me into coming here. ANd now I'm trapped.
8. Did you see the new movie? How many times in the theater? Oh yeah. Opening night. Saw it twice.
9. Weirdest Turtle Fan Moment? In my senior AP english class, we had to have themes to our groups for some project thing and our group all went as ninja turtles characters.
1. TURTLES! How do you know 'em? Grew up on 'em. I first witnessed the eighty-seven cartoon, and thought that Casey was awesome. Same with Raphael, and every other cartoon. Yeah, even Mondo Gecko.
2. Favorite Turtles media? I'll be honest, my favorite is the movies. All four movies in the series have been great, but the original film made me love Casey Jones as a character.
3. Favorite Turtles toy? Eighty-seven, and two-thousand-and-three release Casey Jones figurines. Ah, and the Nightwatcher costume set from the TMNT movie.
4. Favorite Turtles character? Casey, hands down. Elias Koteas made me love him with all my heart. People tend to say I act, and look, like him to a fault. I really don't know about all that, but if I did, that'd be pretty cool.
5. Favorite Turtles moment? In the eighty-seven cartoon, when the turtles had Casey dress up as an executive to infiltrate that company. Haha. That was great.
6. Favorite Turtles website? I won't lie. It's gotta' be this board. The literate role-play makes it such a landmark place for me. Not to mention, the turtles' muns are absolutely talented at their roles.
7. How did you find A World Apart? RPG Collection, totally.
8. Did you see the new movie? How many times in the theater? Four times! And I own it on DVD.
9. Weirdest Turtle Fan Moment? Uh. Probably when I hit my friend in the face with a hockey stick, when I was six, and busted his nose. He ran into his house crying, and I got grounded. "Whoops."
10. Other: Casey Jones rules! (/end random Casey quote)
1. TURTLES! How do you know 'em? Oh God, my brother was really into them and I got hooked. We have the original movie on tape....no joke the tape is from the day the movie came out. I used to watch it religiously as a child. Then my brother got the Turtle Van, and all the action figures....he still has them somewhere.
2. Favorite Turtles media?
Good lord....the new movie, and the original movie. Jim Henson rocks.
3. Favorite Turtles toy? I used to steal my brother's Donnie figurine.
4. Favorite Turtles character? Donnetello and April. I always loved them. Donnetello was smart and strong. He didn't have to resort to physical violence to make a dent in someone's head. April has become more of my type now. I like her best from the original cartoons, comic, and the new movie. She's intelligent, well-spoken, and a hard hitter. She doesn't go for the face, she goes for the ego. ^-^
5. Favorite Turtles moment? Casey Jones and April at April's farm in the first TMNT movie....what the hell is Casey wearing and can I convince one of the hotties at my job to wear them? I want a good look at what I'm buyin' if you know what I mean....::Wink::
6. Favorite Turtles website?. I'm not saying this because Alex and Bri will murder me if I don't, but it's this one.
7. How did you find A World Apart?
I got cornered in the movie theater and threatened on pain of death that if I didn't play April they'd torture me before killing me...
8. Did you see the new movie? How many times in the theater?
I saw it five times.... 9. Weirdest Turtle Fan Moment?
Laserquest.....Speaking of....our friend who was Shredder? His name is Casey.....Davis....
1. TURTLES! How do you know 'em? I watched them back in the '80's with my little brother and I was a fan ever since. I watched everything, even The Next Mutation.
2. Favorite Turtles media? All of the above, but to narrow it down, the first movie. It was a magical moment to see cartoons in flesh and blood. Cotton and material really, but as a kid they were real!
3. Favorite Turtles toy? I actually don't remember playing with any toys but I know I always wanted the van to play with.
4. Favorite Turtles character? Growing up it was Raph, I guess it was that bad boy vibe that drew my attention. Today, I'm more of a Mikey fan because what’s not to love, with Splinter following close in second. Splinter makes me cry, yeah, yeah I know, but honestly, what a rat. He was wise, patient and kind, a trait you don't see today.
5. Favorite Turtles moment? In the first movie with Donny saying "You're a claustrophobic." And Casey gives him a nasty look, "I've never even looked at another guy." I missed that as a kid, but it makes me laugh every time. In the 2003 series, some of Mikey's one liners are hilarious.
Casey: Friends of yours? Raph: Brothers actually Casey: I can see the family resemblance. Mikey: I'm the pretty one.
“I tried to get out of the way but then the building jumped out and attacked me.”
“T-M-N-T, what you get is what you see!”
For the serious bit, in the first movie where all four brothers are sitting around the fire and Splinter speaks to them through it. A heart wrenching moment for a fan.
6. Favorite Turtles website?. Here. Do I get brownie points? *Eager hopefully look* Actually never really went to any TMNT except Technodrome and there I lurked.
7. How did you find A World Apart? From RPGC, I've been looking for years, well since 2004 for a TMNT RPG and this is exactly what I was looking for.
8. Did you see the new movie? How many times in the theater? I only saw it once in the theatre but it was on opening day and the first showing. However I’ve watched it online a couple of times. In fact watched it early this morning ^_^
9. Weirdest Turtle Fan Moment? I don’t know if I’ve had a weird moment but when I was in third grade (However old you are during that time) and I and a friend went as Raph and Mikey for Halloween. I was Mikey, I guess a foretelling of whom I’d like in the future.
1. TURTLES! How do you know 'em? I read most of the comics growing up and was hooked on the original animated series... [I even saw the British version; Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles...stupid censors] I've loved the series since I was a little kid and while other boys were power rangers for Halloween, I was one of the turtles...
2. Favorite Turtles media? Even when I was a kid, I adored when TMNT crossed over with Power Rangers...despite the fact that Venus was involved. =w= I loved the episode though. Power Rangers was the thing all my friends liked, and when it crossed over with my favorite thing, it kinda made us see that our respective fave series were cool in their own right.
Close second would be the Ninja Rap....I love it. 3. Favorite Turtles toy? I still have it...one of my first ninja turtle toys...an action figure of Raph.
4. Favorite Turtles character? Splinter....I LOVED him in the live action movies... XD I made another funny!
5. Favorite Turtles moment? Donny trying to come up with cool words to match his brothers. "Acapella" Come on....that was pure gold!
6. Favorite Turtles website? This un...
7. How did you find A World Apart? :3 Ad on my Avatar site.
8. Did you see the new movie? How many times in the theater? Yes. Three times. I acted like a five year old every single time I watched it.
9. Weirdest Turtle Fan Moment? I dressed up as a turtle for the TMNT movie.
I've been a fan ever since I was a child, although my fanship has grown over the years.
2. Favorite Turtles media?
In all honesty, I've been a "textual actress" ("rpger") for about 10 years now and many of those years have been spent in TMNT related games. I've always been more impressed with what the RPG's are capable of in comparison to what "official" media was able to produce. I did enjoy the new movie though. I'm a huge fan of the original comics and have hundreds of issues of volume 1. (Including a signed copy of #3 by Laird and a copy of #1!).
3. Favorite Turtles toy?
I have a collection of small turtles plushies somewhere but I don't regularly get excited over toys.
4. Favorite Turtles character?
I'm not sure I can say! I think what draws me to the series is the interplay of the characters and their personalities. I play Leonardo in my own RPG right now so I guess I'm a little "Leo-centric".
