Night Out (Open) « Thread Started on Jul 22, 2008, 9:41pm »
It was about midnight and the city was mellow. Lights were out, it was a weeknight and many had early rush hour to catch. The turtles were nowhere to be found, according to Mikey other than himself. The blue-eyed ninja stared down into the street from about a twelve story building, passed his large green feet with only two stubby toes.
More than anyone, he wondered where Leo was, since he was with him earlier at the lair. Raph and Donny were nowhere to be found as Mikey assumed they were together and okay. There were no signs of the foot clan or any trouble to be solved. Mikey was alone and wished someone were around to listen to him ramble or talk about strange things he keeps to himself when no ones around.
He'd been there since about sunset thinking to himself, and occupied by NY's activity. No one came looking for the turtle so he decided to stay and enjoy quiet time. Normal? Not really. The brothers haven't exactly been acting as a team and sticking around eachother for any longer than several minutes.

"-- Aaaaand, it's outta the park!" Another home run served up by the king himself, 'Space Case' Jones, from his rooftop ballpark deep in the concrete jungle of New York. By now, these punks would learn not to break the law in his neck of the 'hood, or so you'd think. And brother, you'd think wrong. Midnight - an early trip for Casey - and he'd already taken care of about four of these guys, all of 'em dressed like some freaks straight out of a comic. "You guys gonna stop terrorizing this neighborhood, or am I needing to call your parents?" Slowly tapping the crown of his bat against the unconscious punk's back, Case narrowed his vision to the one that hadn't hit Lala Land yet. Just by looking at Casey, hockey mask or not, it was obvious he meant business.
Business that should never be messed with.
"Well," he began, readily continuing the rhythmic tapping of his bat. "If you're not gonna answer, I guess I'll have to take your silence as a 'yeah'." Case was sympathetic. Really, he was. "Oof. Tough choice, kid." Yeah, okay. So he wasn't. So what? "You shoulda lied." It's not as though Casey smirked when he smacked the baseball bat against the guy's head. He hadn't enjoyed it at all.
... Yeah, that's a lie. Maybe he hadn't enjoyed it as much as usual. Must've been the grip on the bat. He'd need to re-tape it.
"Night, night, sleeping beauty. No reason to tuck ya' in." Slinging the bat over his shoulder, Case picked up a jovial, relaxed tune and began to whistle as he strode across the rooftops. The same rooftops that a friend clearly shared that evening. Unless, y'know, Case was seeing things again. Things like giant, anthropomorphic turtles. "Uh..."
All right. Can't be that normal to see things, and it was evening. Case knew who it was, but. But, usually this one wasn't alone.
As silent as he could manage, Casey snuck toward the large amphibian, tiptoeing with soft - but crunchy against the minerals on the roof - steps. In close enough range, he smirked. He'd always wanted to say he sneaked up on a ninja.

Of all the things he had suffered in the last week this was the final indignity. Huleeyah’s ears rang from the high pitched shrieks of several women amplified by the tiled locker room walls. He was hit by several flying bathing implements including deodorant units and heavy shampoo bottles. The mad dash for the opposite door was straight through the shower room and he didn’t waste anytime dashing through. High surprised shrieks were replaced with shouts of anger as they yelled for help. He got through the locker door skidding on the smooth shiny floor on the other side a little. There wasn’t anyone in the large room which had wierd markings on the floor . Thank the Divine for small mercies. He hurried towards one of the smaller doors which opened out into an alleyway. Big surprise. This city was a maze with thousands of back ways like this. Huleeyah was sure it could be advantageous if one knew it well enough. ‘If’ being the operative word. He cautiously worked his way towards the nearest set of stairs, looking up and down each end of the alleyway. His nose crinkled as the iron stairs creaked when he settled his weight on them. The falcon form would be much better for getting around in…. He silently shook his head as the soldier in him kicked in, telling him to keep his hand close. Huleeyah was damned determined to not use his rings for as long as possible; the less these cross-world kidnappers knew about him, the better. For now he had eluded them but it was only a matter of time, he would have to play his hand soon and hope it was a winner. The night air seemed fresher at the top of the building which was another of those small mercies he had so precious few of. It was also quiet and somewhat hidden form the other buildings around; it being the taller one. With an exhausted sigh he sunk down in between two of the metal boxes. The days had been wearying enough without the ninja chasing him. Now that they had caught sight of him again he’d been running for two days. ”Times like these,” he whispered to the empty night air before smirking briefly. He found a little amusement in his thoughts, ” I actually wish she were here….”
